Policies, clearly explained.

• Order data: name, delivery address, billing address, email, phone (optional), basket contents, payment confirmation. Card numbers never reach our server: the payment provider named at checkout handles them directly.
• Account data: if you create an account, your password is salted and hashed by WordPress core. We see only the hash.
• Communications: email replies, contact form submissions, returns correspondence.
• Visits: our own server counts visits and pages read, using a random visit number kept in the sweeties_sid cookie, and never shares it. If you accept statistics cookies, WooCommerce also notes which website or campaign brought you here, so an order can show where it came from. We use no advertising cookies.

Order records are kept for 7 years to satisfy HMRC bookkeeping rules. Account profiles persist until you ask us to delete them. Email correspondence is kept for 24 months and then purged.

You can request a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or withdraw any optional consent. Email hello@sweeties.net with the subject line "Data request" and we will respond within 30 days. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) if you are not satisfied.

Royal Mail receives your delivery name and address. The payment provider named at checkout receives the payment amount and your billing details. We never sell email lists.

• wordpress_logged_in_* and wp-settings-*: login session and admin preferences. Session only unless "Remember me" is ticked.
• woocommerce_cart_hash, woocommerce_items_in_cart, wp_woocommerce_session_*: tracks your basket between page loads. Expires when the browser closes.
• cmplz_* and wp_consent_*: remember your cookie banner choice for up to a year, so we do not ask again on every visit.

• sweeties_sid: a random visit number our own server uses to count visits and pages read. It is set on every visit, kept for 90 days and never shared.
• sweeties_ft: when you first arrive from another website, which kind of site it was (a search engine, for example), kept for a year.
• sbjs_*: WooCommerce order attribution. They note which website or campaign brought you here, so an order can show where it came from. Set only after you accept statistics cookies, and kept for up to six months.
• No advertising cookies.

Use your browser's "clear cookies for this site" setting. On Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Site settings → View permissions and data stored across sites → search "sweeties.net" → Delete.

Placing an order is an offer to buy. The contract forms when we send the "Your order is on its way" dispatch email. Prices can change without notice but anything you have already paid for is fixed at the price you paid.

Delivery is priced by the weight of your sweets and sent with Royal Mail Tracked 48: £3.99 up to 2 kg, £7.35 up to 10 kg, £11.85 up to 20 kg. The price is shown in your bag and at checkout before you pay. We deliver to addresses in the United Kingdom.

If something we have sold you turns out to be out of stock, we will email within 48 hours and offer a full refund or a substitution.

We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Our maximum liability is capped at the value of your order. Nothing in this section limits your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

English law applies. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
